Donvion (Pty) Ltd – Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Donvion (Pty) Ltd (“Donvion”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). By accessing our website or purchasing our products or services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
1. About Us
Donvion (Pty) Ltd designs, manufactures, supplies and installs custom-made furniture including:
- Salon furniture
- Office furniture
- Kitchen cabinets
- Reception desks
- Retail displays
- Storage solutions
- Residential and commercial furniture
2. Quotations
- All quotations remain valid for 30 calendar days unless otherwise stated.
- Prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR).
- Quotations may change if specifications, quantities or materials change.
- Quotations are subject to material availability.
3. Orders
An order is considered confirmed only once:
- The quotation has been accepted in writing.
- The required deposit has been paid.
- All specifications, colours, sizes and finishes have been approved by the client.
4. Deposits & Payments
Unless otherwise agreed:
- A minimum 70% deposit is required before production begins.
- The remaining balance must be paid before delivery or collection.
- Donvion reserves the right to suspend production where payments are overdue.
Ownership of goods remains with Donvion until payment has been received in full.
5. Custom-Made Furniture
Most products are manufactured specifically for each client.
Because they are custom-made:
- Orders cannot be cancelled once production has commenced.
- Custom products are not eligible for refunds unless they are defective or materially different from the approved specifications.
- Minor variations in colour, wood grain, texture and finish are natural characteristics and are not defects.
6. Manufacturing Lead Times
Production times vary depending on:
- Product type
- Order quantity
- Material availability
- Workload
Estimated lead times are provided as guidance only and may change.
7. Client Responsibilities
The client is responsible for:
- Providing accurate measurements.
- Ensuring installation access.
- Approving drawings and specifications.
- Confirming colours and finishes before production.
Any costs resulting from incorrect information supplied by the client shall be the client’s responsibility.
8. Delivery
Delivery dates are estimates.
The client must ensure:
- Someone is available to receive the goods.
- The delivery location is accessible.
- Adequate space exists for installation.
Additional delivery charges may apply for failed deliveries.
Risk passes to the client upon delivery or collection.
9. Installation
Where installation is included:
- Installation will only commence once the site is ready.
- Delays caused by other contractors are not the responsibility of Donvion.
- Additional visits due to site readiness may incur extra charges.
10. Warranty
Donvion warrants its workmanship against manufacturing defects for 12 months from the delivery date under normal residential or commercial use.
The warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear.
- Water damage.
- Fire damage.
- Accidental damage.
- Misuse.
- Neglect.
- Improper cleaning products.
- Modifications made by third parties.
11. Returns
Because our furniture is custom manufactured:
Returns are accepted only where:
- The wrong product was supplied.
- The product contains manufacturing defects.
- The product differs materially from the approved quotation.
Returns must be reported within 7 days of delivery.
12. Cancellations
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.
If production has already started:
- Deposits may be partially or fully non-refundable.
- The client may be charged for materials purchased and labour already completed.
13. Inspection
Clients should inspect all goods immediately upon delivery.
Any damage or shortages must be reported within 48 hours.
14. Intellectual Property
All website content, furniture designs, photographs, graphics, logos and text remain the intellectual property of Donvion unless otherwise agreed in writing.
No material may be copied or reproduced without written permission.
15. Website Use
You agree not to:
- Use this website unlawfully.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access.
- Upload malicious software.
- Copy website content without permission.
16. Limitation of Liability
Donvion shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages including loss of profits, business interruption or delays beyond our reasonable control.
Our maximum liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the relevant order.
17. Force Majeure
Donvion shall not be liable for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control including:
- Load shedding
- Strikes
- Material shortages
- Transport disruptions
- Natural disasters
- Government restrictions
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts.
